Bob Kutzke, who didn't even compete in the qualifications races, decided to show up and take his chances at Lakeside Speedway.
Kutzke qualified for the A main by starting in the rear of the B main and running well enough to earn a starting berth in the A feature.
Kutzke picked them off one by one until lap 18 when he and track champion, Kenny King, put on a show for the crowd at Lakeside Speedway. Kutzke and King traded places back and fourth with Bob Kutzke ahead of Kenny King at the finish.
