In 2005 NASCAR asked four cities to compete for the NASCAR Hall of Fame Museum. Kansas City was one of those cities. Unfortunately the NASCAR Hall of Fame went to Charlotte North Carolina.
In March 2004, the Central Auto Racing Boosters began their Hall of Fame by inducting fifteen individuals into the first class. In 2005, C.A.R.B. purchased a trailer to serve as their Hall of Fame from Rick Beebe. To date this mobile Hall of Fame has served the club extremely well.
C.A.R.B. has been a part of the Kansas City racing community since 1952. Tracks have come and gone, racers have come and gone, owners have come and gone, but the one constant has been this club. Over the years it has changed along with the sport itself. In the early years most racers and race fans favored open wheel racing. In the 1970s the sport changed to more of a stock car world. Today we have a mixture of both. Since 2004, the Central Auto Racing Boosters have been honoring our past. To date forty eight highly deserving racers have been inducted into the C.A.R.B Hall of Fame.
C.A.R.B.’s long term goal has always been to have a permanent building serve as a Hall of Fame. Money has always been an issue. With new people on the Board of Directors come new ideas, ideas which we hope will lead to the establishment of the permanent Hall of Fame in the Kansas City area. We begin this dream with a fundraiser.
C.A.R.B. is proud to announce the raffle of a 1972 El Camino. The beautiful 1972 El Camino in the picture below, with a 502 cubic inch engine appraised at $30,000 could be yours.

All funds collected over and above the cost of the car will go to purchase or create a permanent location for the C.A.R.B. Hall of Fame and Museum. Your chance of winning this car will be one in 3,000. Drawing will be held at the 2010 C.A.R.B. Banquet held the first Saturday in December.
You do not have to be present to win. Raffle tickets are $20 each or six tickets for $100. Tickets will be available at all C.A.R.B. functions and online at www.kccarb.com.
