The Central Auto Racing Boosters continue a 34 year tradition of a car show before the racing season this Saturday, March 13, 2010, at the North Kansas City Snake Saturday Parade.  In 1977,  Clyde Ellis led the first ever C.A.R.B. Race On.  This year the club has named the car show the Clyde Ellis Race On, in honor of the founder of this event.

The Clyde Ellis Race On car show will be held in the festival area. The festival area is located in the parking lot west of Howell, north of 18th, and east of Fayette in North Kansas City.   This will be C.A.R.B.'s 21th year of putting on the car show with Snake Saturday.

This offers the local racers an opportunity to display their cars and meet their race fans and make new race fans.  There is also a friendly competition to see which tracks will be the best represented at this event.  Race fans will have the opportunity to meet the owners of Lakeside, I-35, Central Missouri, and Valley Speedways.  Champions from the 2009 season should also be in attendance.  Additionally, the tracks will be providing opportunities for fans to receive free tickets to 2010 racing events.  For the young fans, C.A.R.B.  will have a racing game, a scavenger hunt, and a spin the wheel in which everyone is guaranteed to win.

Racecars will be available for children to sit in and either have their picture taken or at the very least dream of someday being the next Jeff Gordon or Danica Patrick.  There will be a fire and safety crew demonstration.  Autograph books will be available for the young racefans also.  A two seater Grand National race car will be on display and fans can find out how they can get a ride in this racecar.  Also the 1972 El Camino the club is raffling to support our Hall of Fame Museum will be on display.

Racercars need to be on display by 9:00 a.m. and remain in the festival area until 3:00 P.M.  So local racers get your cars ready to show and come on down to North Kansas City and represent your track at a fun filled North Kansas City.
