SCISM CAPTURES FIRST FEATURE WIN

Some of the best races took place here at the hummer friday night.

In factory stock action Doug Scism of Nevada, Missouri has been longing for that first feature win, and with patience and determation it paid off friday night. Scism captured the first heat win of the evening setting him up for third position in the feature. Derrek Wilson was going to challenge him all the way, with Wilson taking the lead for a few laps, but in the end Scism captured his first feature win, with With Wilson setteling for second. Brandon Weide picked up third as Billy Shadden and Chris Weldon rounded out the top 5.

Jay Lamons was able to walk away with the B-Mod feature win. Levi McGowen and Dalton Kirk put on a heck of a show batteling for 16 laps side by side every lap. With lap traffic Kirk was able to get around McGowen for the white flag, but McGowen was able to claim the second spot at the checker, leaving Kirk to finish third. Scott Collins starting seventh picked up the fourth spot, while Jerry Kustanborter finished fifth.

Roger Oswald was the fastest car in the Pure Stock to cross the finish line first, but was unable to make weight, so Jeremy Willard was able to capture the feature win, Floyd Taggart challenged him all the way to finish second. Mike Aiello, Eddie Coulter and Derryl Aiello rounded out the top five.

Matt Collins started out on the pole of the Modified feature, but after two laps Jesse Folk driving the number 7 took over the lead and never looked back for the rest of the 18 laps claiming his first 2010 feature win. Justin Folk settled for second place, while Rodney Sigg sliced his way through lap traffic to pick up the third spot. Jessy Willard starting eighth was able to finish fourth, while pole setter Matt Collins was able to hang on to fifth position.

Racing action will continue this friday with the Vintage cars making there first appearance this season.
