WHITWORTH WINS BIG IN B-MOD
With another night of great racing in the books at the Humboldt Speedway we seen some new faces in the winners circle. In the Pure Stock class it was Stetson Deets catching his first win of the season leading wire to wire with David Matlock finishing in the second spot Jeremy Willard third Mike Aiello fourth and Roger Oswald rounding out the top five.
Next up was the Fatory Stock class it was John Rossen in command with Derrek Wilson and Tyler James bringing heavy pressure the whole race at the line it was Rossen winning his fifth of the year, Wilson was second James third Ed Mueller fourth and Colton Bunn rounding out the top five.
B-Mods was out next witch brought the most action packed race of the night with Jay Lamons Jr. jumping out to the early lead with Tim VanGotten running a close second back in third was Riley Whitworth riding around the high side setting up for the for his attack. With 6 laps to go Whitworth was in second and running Lamons down with three to go they were neck and neck as the fans were on there feet, both drivers headed out of turn four still side by side as they crossed the checkered it was Riley Whitworth by a half a car length. Lamons settled for runner up with Jimmie Davis third Jay Bailey fourth and Levi McGowen fifth.
With 13 different winner’s for the 2010 Season in Modified it was Scott Daniels who was untouchable winning his second feature of the season, Brian Bolin and Terry Beckham II running door and door it was Bolin finishing in the second spot Beckham was third Jess Folk Jr. fourth and Justin Folk fifth.
The mechanics will take their turn on the hummer high banks this Friday night. Races start at 8:00 P.M.
