Lebanon,Mo.-Racing action will be back in full force Friday Night at the LebanonMidwaySpeedway as the chase for the Championship stays in full swing.
Action will include the FactoryStocks,B-Mods,StreetStocks,PureStocks,Sportsman and MidWest Modz.
Last Friday night Ben Solberg got back into the winners circle and has closed up the gap between himself and current point leader Tyson Troutman down to 14 points while Solberg holds third place,Donnie Miller of Houston stays in second place only 10 points behind the leader Troutman also of Houston.Area resident Mark Davis of Grovesprings and second year driver Matt Wilson of Mt Grove complete the top 5.
Veteran and former IMCA Modified SuperNationals winner Wayne Graybeal of Springfield keeps a slim 9 point lead over Josh Woody of Buckhorn while Springfield's Wes Long finds himself in third place only 20 points from the top spot as Mark Simon and Modified rookie Kolt Barker of Lebanon complete the top 5.
StreetStock point leader joe Francis saw his winning streak come to a halt at the hands of SpringfieldRaceway defending champion Robert High last Friday Night but Francis goes into this weekend with a 32 point lead over Lynchburg's solid driving Brandon Waters.Ava's Jack Hamer,Billy Waters and Monk Barker complete the top 5 as the action in this class has been outstanding with good car counts.
The PureStocks will be back into action Friday Night as Kory Barker holds a 30 point margin over first year driver Robert McGinnis while Danny Caffey,Grant Sharp and Mansfield's Joey Long complete the top 5.
Defending Sportsman champion Ben Newell leads father JC Newell by 22 points as a tight battle for second place finds Bennie Joiner,Clinton Betts and Tim Ballinger in the hunt.
14 Year old JC Newell has made every scheduled apperance in the MidWest Modz and has a large lead.
Gates open at 5 with hotlaps at 7:05 and Racing at 8PM.
Grandstand Admission is only $10 for Adults with kids 11-15 $5 and 10 and under Free.
Midway is taking early entries for the Hot Summer nights events upcoming on July 28,29, and 30th featuring FactoryStocks,B-Mods and StreetStocks with purse money in excess of $20,000 for the 3 day event featuring a different style of format each night with the winners recieving $2000 in the FactoryStocks,$1500 in the B-Mods and $1,000 in the StreetStocks.
