Sullivan Takes Home Hardware In Texas

FORT WORTH, Texas (February 25, 2010) – The first time was the charm for Jack Sullivan of Greenbrier, Ark., as he earned the victory in the O’Reilly Auto Parts Southern United Professional Racing (SUPR) Late Model race during the Texas World Dirt Track Championship in his first race in the Lone Star state.

“We were actually planning on going to Alabama,” Sullivan said. “We had the trailer loaded up, but heard there was bad weather so we decided to come here and I’m glad we did. This is a great track and with it being my first time here, it’s a very special win for me.”

Along with Sullivan, a pair of Texans took the Limited Modified and Modified championships. Bobby Malchus of Red Oak, Texas, earned the championship in the Modified division while Tim Clonch of Quinlan, Texas, earned the championship in the Limited Modified division. Clonch’s evening featured two championship races as he also finished 18th in the Modified championship.

Former Texas World Dirt Track Championship winner and Fort Worth native Troy Taylor finished fifth in the Limited Modified championship while last year’s defending O’Reilly Auto Parts SUPR Late Model winner, Rob Litton, finished eighth.
