Well as everybody knows we have chosen our classes and we have sanctioned Imca for the newly added class of Modifieds and have moved our Stockcars to the Imca brand as well. The debate is over so its now time to move to the rules and transition rules. Dave Brenn has indicated it will not be a hard transition as the track size lends itself to close competition. There will be transition for Modifieds as well as Stockcars. Meaning that some of the things we had in our 2015 rules will be allowed for our 2016 "transition" year. Dave hopes to have his part done before the first of the year. The classes that are not sanctioned such as Kidzmodz, Hobby, compacts, and Emod will also be finalized by then. Thanks in advance for everyones continued patience in this matter of transition. A great on track product with good car counts will be a result. Make plans to be in the Cage for the 2016 season. Don't be afraid of the Cage!!!!!

What were your thoughts on not sanctioning the hobby stocks?

We have had a good set of rules in place for a couple years. It is much cheaper than Imca or usra hobbies and we have our local guys buying into the idea. The class is growing and changing it on them would only hurt them. The motor rule for Hobby is the same for our Emods. Makes it real easy to move into either class and we have seen guys do just that. Good to hear from you jon. Hope all is well with you!

Did not look at the rules side by side, but how are your rules cheaper than IMCA hobby? Not a lot of cost drivers in their rules.

Motors are the biggest part. A crate motor costs $3,400. You can build our hobby motors for as little at as $1,000. Professionally built it would cost you $2,000. Mine personally cost me around $1,500. These motors in the past had a hard time competing with the crates. We had over 30 hobbies compete here at least on time last year with this rule set and the class is still growing. We didn't want to upset the growth. This motor rule is also identical to our Emod class and I believe we should leave both classes alone as they are on the rise at ACR.
