The SLMR Series invades Lakeside Speedway

The SLMR “Race for the Safe” series will make its inaugural visit to the Lakeside Speedway in Kansas City, Kansas on Friday, October 3 and Saturday, October 4 during NASCAR Weekend at the Kansas Speedway. The Nebraska based series is in its seventh year of operation and has raced in Iowa and South Dakota in addition to Nebraska.

One of the secrets for the success of the SLMR is a very flexible set of engine rules which allows many different types of engines to competitively compete with restrictors and weight used to try and even things out. The slmr rules can be found at: http://www.slmrseries.com/images/pdf/sl ... 014-02.pdf

Currently Kyle Berck of Marquette, Nebraska leads the 2014 SLMR point standings followed by Tad Pospisil, Corey Zeitner, Justin Gregg and Bill Leighton, Jr.

Remaining races for the series include; the Adams County Speedway on August 23, Raceway Park in Jefferson, South Dakota on August 29, Junction Motor Speedway in McCool Junction, Nebraska on August 30, Eagle Raceway in Eagle, Nebraska on September 7, Park Jefferson Speedway in Jefferson, South Dakota on September 13, I-80 Speedway in Greenwood, Nebraska on September 20, Lakeside and then back to I-80 Speedway on October 11 for the season finale.
