Good news (for must of us) is the race track isn't going anywhere anytime soon. Yet to be answered is who will run it and will the dirt track see any love? You can have the best product in the world, but if not one buys it, you will go broke quickly.

Yes stockcar80, I agree. As much as it hurts me to admit, i think we are on the same page as far as Irwin's comment. LOL

I do not live in Topeka, so I do not think anyone would appreciate my attendence. If you do have their ear and based upon your previous comments, I am suprised they voted for the expansion.

Ollie, there are those on the city council who have a vested interest in all of this and is why it has been pushed along so fast. It is very simular to what is taking place downtown, a majority of the city see's it as a waste of time but those select few who stand to gain are the ones who pai....er I mean pushed the city to do so. I am curious to see how all this plays out, it's kind of interesting as the development pitch is the same pitch the last shyster used. I guess time will tell, latest rumor I have heard is there is a group from O'Reilly's trying lease the place.

Fuzz,

I understand. I just want a relatively close place (140 miles round trip) that will allow my car to race. It's a 70-80's camaro and until this year, none of the racing associations allowed unibody cars. USRA is accepting them again and it would be ironic if the only close track closed.

It will be interesting to see how things fall.
