Jim Dreasher took over the lead on the ninth lap and weaved his way through traffic the rest of the way to win the 25-lap Stock Car feature at Topeka Raceway sunday night.
Dreasher and John Nitsch chased Gerry Harrison through the first six laps. Harrison popped a tire at that point and Nitsch took the lead. Once past Nitsch on the ninth lap, Dreasher only had to avoid trouble from traffic to record his first feature win of the season.
While all this was going on at the head of the pack, Gary Fuller of Salina was weaving his way past cars to move into third place. Don Collier finished fourth, with Don Morris fifth. Galen Schaefer had earned the pole spot for the feature, but was unable to make the race when he broke a tie rod in the trophy dash, also won by Dreasher.
