Thompson Tames Belleville in NCRA Modified Appearance!

ncraBelleville, Kansas – September 6, 2015 – Jon Thompson became the seventh different winner in the eight events held thus far on the 2015 race season as he claimed his first victory of the season as the National Championship Racing Association modified division made their annual Sunday, Labor Day weekend appearance at the Belleville High Banks Speedway in Belleville, Kansas.

The Superior, Nebraska veteran was chased to the line by Tyler Davis, Paden Phillips, Josh Lanterman and Dan Powers. Davis’ runner up finish coupled with Powers’ fifth place finish has both drivers tied atop the 2015 NCRA modified point standings as the tour heads to the Salina High Banks Speedway in Salina, Oklahoma this coming Saturday night, September 12. Lanterman, who came into this three race holiday weekend, sits third in the standings, just 30 points out of the lead while Thompson is 110 points back with four point races left on the season.
