Kansas City, KS – Lakeside Speedway hosted a big event last week. The USMTS Modifieds and the Iron Man Challenge B Mods and Stock Cars packed the house with the regular weekly racers. This week the action stays intense with a visit from the ULMA Late Models to the lineup as it is Christy’s Tasty Queen Night At The Races.

Friday night, April 29th, the action will once again start up with hot laps at 6:45 p.m. and the first race goes green at 7:30 p.m. Lakeside Speedway is always chalked full of excitement and this week it should be no different.

The weekly classes will all be back in action along with the ULMA Late Models. USRA Modifieds, USRA Stock Cars, USRA B Mods, Grand Nationals and Factory Stocks will continue their chase for the championship.

A total of 9 Lakeside regulars made the A Main for the USMTS Modified feature last Friday night. Opening night feature winners and defending USRA Modified Champion, Kerry Davis, had the best finish of the night in 4th.

This week the action returns to just the regular weekly racers as they get ready to battle it out one more time.

Kevin Anderson is back on a roll again in the USRA Stock Car division. Last week he took home his 2nd consecutive feature win of the season at Lakeside Speedway. It was a special win as he pocketed $750.00! Drivers in this class are going to have to put in for some overtime as they need to figure out what they need to catch up with Anderson.

The USRA B Mod class hosts the hottest driver, currently, at Lakeside Speedway; Chad Clancy. So far this season Clancy is undefeated. That’s right 3 features and 3 wins. Could Clancy be on another National Championship hunt?

Several tough competitors will make things hard on him all season long. It will be impressive if Clancy can keep up this pace.

Jason Ryun has also logged 3 wins this season at Lakeside. All of Ryun’s wins have come in the Factory Stock division. This class is still growing and will only get bigger as the season moves on.

The Grand National division saw Nick Newton gain his 2nd win of the season. Newton is on a roll and this class has seen a dominating driver each of the last few years. Is this Newton’s year to lay his claim for the top spot on a consistent.

Fans won’t want to miss any of the racing action at Lakeside Speedway. Racing on the River’s Edge has never been more competitive than it has been this year and don’t look for it to lighten up any time soon. These drivers are competitors.

General admission seating is $12 for adults, $6 for kids ages 7-12 and children ages 6 and under get in for free. Military personnel, students and seniors over 62 get in for $10 with proper ID.
