Mayetta, KS – A week ago Thunder Hill Speedway was ready to keep the 2016 race season moving. Unfortunately, Mother Nature had other plans. As the weather looks good this week, Thunder Hill Speedway is ready to try it once again.

This Saturday night, June 4th, Thunder Hill Speedway will fire back up for the 4th race of the 2016 Big Time Bail Bonds Clash At The Hill as it’s Little Ducklings Daycare Night at The Races!

Race fans everywhere need a strong dose of the BSB Manufacturing IMCA Modifieds, Bud’s Auto Service IMCA Stock Cars, JAG Trucking IMCA Northern Sport Mods and Casey’s General Store IMCA Hobby Stocks! That’s what the fans will get this Saturday night at Thunder Hill Speedway.

It will be good for everyone involved to get back to the track.

What Happened Last Race Out at the Big Time Bail Bonds Clash on The Hill…
The last race showcased another round of great racing action that carried an added attraction, the NCRA/Nesmith Late Models. Lyle ‘The Hitman’ Shepard raced his way to the Late Model Feature win. Jordan Grabouski took care of business, once again, in the BSB Manufacturing IMCA Modified division. the Bud’s Auto Service IMCA Stock Car Feature saw Geoff Jermark finally get his 1st win of 2016. Austin Charles blasted his way to his 1st win of 2016 in the JAG Trucking IMCA Northern Sport Mods. A wild, green, white, checkered finish watched Ryan Sutter score his 2nd win of the season in the Casey’s General Store IMCA Hobby Stock main event. Last week’s races will have surely set the table for the action that is to come this week.

Setting the Table For This Week!

BSB Manufacturing Modified Notes…
Jordan Grabouski, with the win 2 week’s ago, became the 1st Modified driver to win multiple features in 2016.
2 is the number of different winners that have showed up in Pit Pass Liquor Victory Lane this season.
30 was the number of IMCA Modifieds that checked in to battle it out last Saturday night.
Clay Money won the B Feature last week. It was the 2nd time this season a B Feature was needed at Thunder Hill Speedway.
Darron Fuqua and Clay Money both tied for the Hard Charger award last week. Fuqua started 17th and raced his way up to finish 2nd while Money started 19th and finished 4th. That’s a lot of passing right there!

Modified Driver To Watch This Week…. Darron Fuqua #87, Mayetta, KS.

Fuqua hasn’t broken into victory lane yet this season, but everyone knows it’s bound to happen. Fuqua has had some tough luck in the first 3 races, but he knows he is fast. In the first 3 races he has passed more cars than anyone else in the division. Unfortunately, he has been starting to deep in the field and seems to run out of laps. Last week he moved from 17th to 2nd

Buds Auto Service IMCA Stock Car Notes…
Last week’s Driver To Watch, Geoff Jermark, drove to victory lane. It’s been an uphill battle so far for Jermark but for some reason we think his strong runs will continue.
25 was the magic number for the Stock Cars 2 weeks ago as that was the number of competitors that checked in to race.
Jim Powell Jr. and Clarence Warman were a couple of hard workers last race out. Powell started 19th and finished 5th, while Warman started 25th and finished 11th.
The current points leader, Matt Haid, who won the first 2 features, brought home a respectable runner-up finish to Jermark. Haid is on a roll this season.

Stock Car Driver to Watch This Week…. Greg Deters #29, Centralia, KS.

Greg Deters is a veteran of Stock Car racing. He is also a crowd favorite. What makes Deters a crowd favorite? How about that he gives it 110 percent each and every race. There isn’t a time that Deters isn’t sawing the wheel and mashing the gas. Deters only has one gear and that’s fast forward. Last week he pulled in a top 5 finish in 4th. Not bad considering he started 13th in the main events. Keep an eye on Deters this week, I bet he is up towards the front again.

JAG Trucking IMCA Northern Sport Mod Notes…
30 was the magic number for the Sport Mods 2 weeks ago. A whopping total of 30 drivers checked in to see who was the best.
Bryan Rigsby is having a solid year in the Sport Mods so far. To go along with a win the last race saw Rigsby go from 19th to 3rd in the feature. It made him the hard charger for the night.
Austin Charles made the best of a heavy race track and stormed off to his 1st win of the season 2 weeks ago.
37 different drivers have raced this year at Thunder Hill Speedway in the Sport Mods!

Northern Sport Mod Driver To Watch This Week…. Austin Charles #81, Basehor, KS.

Austin Charles is a 3rd generation racer. The two drivers before him have thrown up a pretty big shadow for the younger Charles. Grandfather, Tom, and Father, Dan, have had a lot of success in their racing careers. Don’t worry though, Austin is ready to bust out of their shadows and cast his own! Last race night out Austin dominated the feature on the way to win #1 this season. A top 5 finish in points a year ago got this youngster fired up early in the off season and he hasn’t slowed down since. This week he could return to the top spot, watch and find out.

Casey’s General Store IMCA Hobby Stock Notes…
Ryan Sutter became the first repeat winner in the Hobby Stock division 2 weeks ago. Sutter held on for the win after a late race yellow and a green, white, checkered finish!
Rookie, Chris Lierz, scored a top 5 finish after starting 12th on the grid. Not a bad run.

Hobby Stock Driver To Watch This Week….Levi Henery #97L, Berryton, KS.

Henery had a strong year last year at Thunder Hill Speedway. He was fast, consistent and fun to watch. It made him a crowd favorite. This year he is off to a slow start, but don’t expect him to stay that way. I don’t know if you can call it a slow start, it’s just that he hasn’t won yet. Henery is fast and he is capable of driving his hot rod to victory lane. Henery is currently coming off a 4th place finish and sits 3rd in the points battle. Watch him and see if he finishes up front this week.
