Lakeside Speedway All Systems Go For Friday June 3rd

Lakeside-Speedway(2)Kansas City, KS – Last week wasn’t what the fans, racers and employees of Lakeside Speedway wanted, a RAINOUT!

It always stinks when that happens. Don’t worry though tomorrow night, June 3rd, the action will continue once again at the famed 1/2 mike dirt track in KCK.

The only thing that fans will find different this week is that the ULMA Late Models will not be there, but the Grand Nationals and Factory Stocks will be back.

The USRA Modifieds, USRA Stock Cars, USRA B Mods, Grand Nationals and Factory Stocks will all be in action. Each class is in a heavy points battle and each and every race counts.

The last race was another wild night of racing in the Dotte.

For the 2nd straight week it looks like Mark Schafman is becoming the GIANT in the USRA Modified division. For the 2nd straight week Schafman took home the top honors. The level of competition that races in this class should have Schafman feeling good about his accomplishment.

Last year’s champ, Kerry Davis, is on top of the early season point standings, but the upstart, Schafman, is right behind him 10 points back.

In the USRA B Mod division Chad Clancy drove to yet another victory this season at Lakeside Speedway. Win number 5 came to Clancy as he beat out the other 32 competitors last Friday night. With the win Clancy extended his points lead to more than 100 points.

The battle from a year ago between Kevin Anderson and Brett Heeter is alive and well again this season. Last week the 2 drivers stayed neck and neck as Heeter took the win and Anderson finished 2nd.
