Mayetta, KS – Fans don’t have to wait long for the first big special at Thunder Hill Speedway. This Saturday night June 11th is Ladies Night at Thunder Hill Speedway! That’s right all the ladies get in free Saturday night.

Not only is it Ladies Night but it’s also going to be Big Time Bail Bonds Night at the Races! This is important for the simple fact that racers are going to get a big benefit on this night. Extra money is being added to the purse (thanks to Ryan & Doreen Weekley at Big Time Bail Bonds) on Saturday night in each and every one of the weekly classes that battle it out in the Big Time Bail Bonds Clash on The Hill!

This week the BSB Manufacturing IMCA Modifieds will be looking for a top prize of $650.00, $375.00 will be on the line for the winner in the Bud’s Auto Service IMCA Stock Cars, the JAG Trucking IMCA Northern Sport Mods will be getting $350 to win and the Casey’s General Store IMCA Hobby Stock top dog will get $240.

It’s destined to be another great night of racing at Thunder Hill Speedway.

What Happened Last Race Out at the Big Time Bail Bonds Clash on The Hill…
Jordan Grabouski is making a strong bid for a track championship and possibly a national championship. Last week Grabouski motored to his 3rd win of the early season in the BSB Mfg IMCA Modified division and he has no intentions of letting up any time soon. Jim Powell Jr. ran to his 1st win of the season in the Bud’s Auto Service IMCA Stock Cars. A former track champion at Thunder Hill Speedway, Jeremy Pittsenbarger, went to victory lane in the JAG Trucking IMCA N. Sport Mod Feature. Tyler Hinrichs raced his way to the front of the pack in the Casey’s General Store IMCA Hobby Stock Feature and went on to win.

Setting the Table For This Week!

BSB Manufacturing Modified Notes…
3 is the magic number for Jordan Grabouski. That’s how many wins he has already this season.
26 was the number of competitors that signed in to race last Saturday night.
Jeremy Chambers was the hard charger last week as he started 26th and finished in 11th!
45 is the number of different drivers that have raced at Thunder Hill Speedway in the Modifieds this year.
Hats off to David Conkwright. Conkwright spent most of the night up at the front of the field. He would eventually turn in one of his best Modified feature finishes coming in 3rd.

Modified Driver To Watch This Week…. David Conkwright #19C, Westmoreland, KS.

Last week Conkwright shocked a few people by racing up front all night long in the Modified main event. It didn’t shock some people (me)! Conkwright has a ton of experience in the race game. He has been in all types of vehicles over the years and a dry slick track he knows very well. Last week he was easy off and easy on through the corners and his car responded well. He would celebrate one of his best finishes in a Modified in 3rd, but keep an eye on him this week as he could probably have a repeat performance.

Buds Auto Service IMCA Stock Car Notes…
23 was the number of racers that battled it out in this division last week.
3 is the number of different drivers that have won a feature this season at Thunder Hill in the Stock Cars.
37 is the number of different drivers that have raced at Thunder Hill this season in the Stock Cars.
James Seymour was the hard charger last week going from 23rd to 11th in the feature.
This class is shaping up to have a tight points battle all season long and with the competition getting better every week it will only get tighter as the year goes on.

Stock Car Driver to Watch This Week…. Colton Miller #74C, Topeka, KS.

Colton Miller is still in his early stage of his racing career. He cut his teeth in the Hobby Stock ranks and now has his sights set on the Stock Cars. Everyone should keep an eye on this driver as he is an up and comer! Last week he drove to a 5th place finish. With the competition that is 2nd to none, Miller is putting his best effort on display and a top 5 finish is a good reward. Watch him this week and see if he backs up that top 5 with another one or maybe even a win?

JAG Trucking IMCA Northern Sport Mod Notes…
Welcome back Jeremy Pittsenbarger! Last season wasn’t the way Pittsenbarger wanted to defend his title. He went home and re-grouped and has come back this season with a vengance. A convincing win last week just might mean the return of the Pittsenbarger from 2014!
Shawn Harker, a 2016 feature winner, put on a show for the fans last week. Harker won the B feature and then ran all the way up to 3rd in the feature after starting 19th.
45 is the number of different competitors that have logged laps in the Sport Mods this season at Thunder Hill.
Bryan Rigsby’s 2nd place finish has him at the front of the point standings after 4 races.

Northern Sport Mod Driver To Watch This Week…. Brian Murphy #1M, Carbondale, KS.

Murphy, a longtime area racer, has found a home in the Sport Mod division. Murphy has logged several wins, track championships and more at area tracks. Last season he took his show up to the Modified division and had some success but he missed being in the Sport Mod. This season Murphy is back at it again and last week he turned in a 4th place finish. Something tells me he might have another good run in him again this week, so keep an eye on the 1M this Saturday night.

Casey’s General Store IMCA Hobby Stock Notes…
Tyler Hinrichs was a rocket ship getting a win last week at Thunder Hill Speedway.
Last year’s champ, Tyler Garst, is quietly doing his thing this year. He was close to getting a win a couple of weeks ago and it seems like every week he is in the top 3. I will go out on a limb and say he will be in the battle for championship #2 this season.
31 different drivers have raced this season at Thunder Hill Speedway in the Hobby Stock division.
Hats off to hard charger Jaylen Wettengel. The youngster went from 14th to 4th in the main event last week.
18 drivers checked in to battle for supremacy last Saturday night in the Hobby Stocks.

Hobby Stock Driver To Watch This Week….Tyler Garst #53T, Topeka, KS.

Yes, we are going out on a limb here by picking Tyler Garst as the driver to watch. Sure, he is the reigning track champion. Sure, he has been in the top 5 it seems like every race this season. Garst is definitely a driver to watch. This week could be his week. He has knocked on the door for a victory a few weeks back and this might be his week. After watching him runner-up last week, he got our nod for this week.
