Kansas City, KS – It will be full weekend of action at Lakeside Speedway this Friday, Saturday and Sunday!

No the USRA weekly racers wont be competing every night. The regular Friday race is scheduled for tomorrow night, June 10, but the Kenny Wallace will be running their program on Saturday, June 11.

Last week the points leader in the USRA Modifieds, Kerry Davis, started outside the 3rd row but it wouldn’t take him long to get to the front, navigate traffic and take home another win on the 2016 season. Jason Ryun continued his domination of the Factory Stock division. Nick Newton put up another win in the Grand Nationals. It was another Clancy, Steven, keeping the top spot in the family by winning the USRA B Mod Feature. Brett Heeter blasted his way to yet another win on the season as he continues on his journey for a 4th straight championship!

This week’s races will only be getting better. Points battles are starting to take shape, drivers are finding their stride and some new faces are starting to come on.

Kerry Davis will look to stay out in front of the competition in the USRA Modified class. Mark Schafman has been a surprise to this point and the points are closer than they have been in years. Let’s not forget about the rest of the competition that is ready to take on the top 2 and show them just how tough they are.

In the USRA Stock car class Brett Heeter has been the man for some time now. Last year Kevin Anderson gave him a run for his money on the way to the championship, but Heeter has met every challenge. The competition keeps getting stronger but is there anyone that can knock Heeter off of his throne?

Just how dominant has Chad Clancy been this season? Considering he took a week off last week and still leads the points, I would say he has been pretty dominant. Close to 60 different drivers have raced at Lakeside Speedway in 2016, it’s the most popular class. With a lot of competitors means that there should be a lot of competition. Let’s see if anyone starts putting a strong run together to battle Clancy.

The Grand National class is still going strong at Lakeside Speedway. Nick Newton and Tim Shields are still the top of the field and last week was another good battle. See if that battle continues this week. Newton is on a roll in 2016 and compared to last season Shields is off to a bit of a slow start.

The Factory Stock Class is still brand spanking new but it’s picking up a little steam. As more and more racers see what’s going on with this class look for more of them to join in the fun. Jason Ryun has been on fire to this point. Fans can’t count out the other racers. Marshall Jewett and the rest of the field could jump up and surprise you.

Lakeside Speedway fans should expect another night of great racing as the action only continues to get hotter, along with the weather.

Fans should remember as the temperatures get hotter, to stay cool & stay hydrated throughout the day and night.

The Kenny Wallace Dirt Racing Experience offers you the chance to get behind the wheel and truly feel what it’s like to drive a Late Model or Modified race car on dirt or enjoy a thrilling Ride-Along Experience with a professional race car driver.
