(Warrensburg, MO) The temperatures and tight racing action continue to heat up at Central Missouri Speedway (CMS) as weekly racing continues with KIX 105.7 FM and Joslin’s Jewelry race night this Saturday. CMS celebrates Father’s Day with a special treat to Dads as Joslin’s Jewelry sponsors watch giveaways during the night’s events.

KIX 105.7 FM, KSDL & KSIS presents weekly racing in the USRA Modified, B-Mod, Street Stock, and Pure Stock divisions as drivers continue to race for championship points to move up the standings. ULMA Late Models are set to make their third appearance of the year on Saturday joining the weekly racing divisions.

The 2016 CMS championship season points are close with several drivers in each class competing for the top spots. USRA Modified point leader, Kevin Blackburn of Fulton, Missouri, claimed his first feature win of the season last week in a showdown with some of the best Modified talent in the region, including Gunner Martin who sits second in the standings with 2015 Track Champion Terry Schultz third.

In the B-Mod division, Troy Carlyle of Kearney, Missouri leads the pack with 2015 champion Jacob Ebert of Oak Grove close behind in second thanks to his three feature wins. Bobby Russell of Smithville is third.

The Street Stock standings are very tight with Clayton Campbell of Otterville, Missouri just 23 markers ahead of 2015 Track Champion Brett Wood of Warrensburg. Wood has struggled some with mechanical issues so far this season but is keeping the pressure on Campbell near the top. Brain Ziegler of Bates City is third in the standings with three feature wins.

The Pure Stock division has Roger Detherage of Windsor, Missouri leading Amanda Akers of Independence as she holds on to the second spot. Jeremiah Wilson of Concordia, the 2015 Track Champion, is third so far this year despite having some obstacles thrown his way early in the season.
