Kansas City, KS – Friday night, July 1st, will be Joslin’s Jewelry Night At The Races at Lakeside Speedway and it’s going to be packed full of action!

This Friday night will see all the regular weekly racing classes in action at Lakeside Speedway. The USRA Modifieds, USRA Stock Cars, USRA B Mods and Grand Nationals. This Friday night will see the addition of the ULMA Late Models into the fold. The ULMA Late Models are becoming a fan favorite at Lakeside Speedway.

Getting a rest from the action this week is the Factory Stock division, as they have the night off.

Last week was a busy week for Lakeside Speedway as they saw racing action Friday, Saturday and Sunday! Nic Bidinger, the former champ, regained his swagger as he won the USRA Modified Feature last week. In the USRA B Mods Tim Powell dropped a message that he is one of the toughest USRA B Mod competitors in the area winning the main event. Brett Heeter showed that he is the dominant car in the USRA Stock Cars. The Grand National Feature saw Tim Shields dominate once again. There was a last lap pass in the Factory Stock Feature and it was Jason Ryun racking up another win.

This week the racing action will get even better on the speedway.

Kerry Davis will have to bounce back from last week if he wants to continue his run to another championship. Davis lost a motor it looked like last week and after got caught up in a wreck in turn 1. Not the way he wanted last Friday night to go. Mark Schafman is chipping away at the points lead but there is still a long way to go before it’s all said and done. Each week look for the drivers in this division to press harder than ever before on getting to the front of the pack.

Brett Heeter’s dominance in the USRA Factory Stock division continues week after week and year after year at Lakeside Speedway. Last week was just another prime example. This Friday might be different if Heeter and Kevin Anderson don’t show up to race. This will open the door for a different winner to come to the top of the heap! Who will it be?

Tim Powell got the win last week but it’s Chad Clancy that still has a strangle hold on the points. Clancy has a triple digit lead and each week he looks stronger than the week before. Brad Smith looked to be on his way to an easy win last week, but as the old saying goes first you must finish to win! Something went wrong in Smith’s car and it took him out of contention. Look for him to come back this week with a chip on his shoulder.

It was the Tim Shields of old roaring to an easy win last Friday night. Currently, the points battle is going to the leader, Nick Newton. Each week these two take turns battling it out. As the competition steps up there game look for the racing to get tighter each week. Who knows what this week will hold for the class. It could be someone else standing tall in victory lane this week.

The ULMA Late Models have been a playground for Aaron Marrant. Will another driver step up and knock Marrant from his top spot?

Lakeside Speedway will be giving the fans something extra this week as they are having the band Silver Streak perform from 10 pm to 1 am on Friday night. Just another way Lakeside Speedway provides for their fans.
