(Warrensburg, MO) It’s summer, it’s hot, but so is the racing at Central Missouri Speedway (CMS) and things are about to heat up even more this Saturday as Street Stock drivers take the spotlight in having the opportunity to gun for the big bucks in the track’s annual $1,500-to-Win Street Stock Special event!

The payout is one of the best seasonal Street Stock special event purses throughout the Midwest: 1st $1500, 2nd $1000, 3rd $600, 4th $500, 5th $400, 6th $300, 7th $250, 8th $225, 9th $200, 10th $175, 11th $150, 12th $150, 13th $150, 14th $150, 15th $130, 16th-24th $125. B-Main non transfer pay is $50. Any competitors thinking about entering the event should familiarize themselves with the car class rules and general track rules, which may be found under the Driver’s tab at www.centralmissourispeedway.net. CMS uses and enforces its set of rules!

The entry for Saturday’s event is as follows: $50 entry fee if the driver has raced twice at CMS this year in a Street Stock PRIOR TO this event; for those not meeting these criteria there is a $75 entry fee. Entry does not include pit pass. Pit Passes are sold separately from entry fee. Saturday pit pass is $30. Same night entries are available. There are no track registration fees for Street Stocks this weekend. Order of events this weekend will be Pure Stocks, USRA B-Mods, Allstar Midget Series, USRA Modifieds, and Street Stocks. The 25-lap, $1,500-to-Win Street Stock race will be the final race of the night.

Drivers will pill draw as normal for their initial heat-race lineups. The top 18 in passing points from the heat races are then locked into the main event. All passing point’s ties are broken by heat race order. Positions 19 thru 24 will be determined by the B-Main event (top 6) transfer. The 25-lap main event will start 24 cars on the grid. (Race format subject to change based on car count). This Street Stock event is NOT a track point’s night for drivers. Weekly championship racing resumes the following week after this annual special event.

The Allstar Midget Series recently approached promoters Earl and Susan Walls and asked if there were any race dates available for them for the remainder of the year. After the meeting, the Walls agreed to add the Allstar Midgets to the CMS race programs for this Saturday, July 23rd plus August 6th, August 20th, August 27th (previously scheduled), September 3rd, and September 4th (previously scheduled). The Allstar Midget Series events are an added feature to the already scheduled events and car classes. The full CMS schedule is found on the track’s website by pointing your browser to www.centralmissourispeedway.net.

Area USRA B-Mod drivers can compete at CMS this weekend and earn national USRA Championship Points as the track’s B-Mod class will run under the USRA Sanctioning Banner this Saturday. All drivers must either be a licensed USRA Driver for the 2016 season or purchase a $10 temp license on the spot. This is a track point’s night for the B-Mod class. Along with the Street Stock special, USRA B-Mods, and the Allstar Midget Series, fans can also witness the second-to-none competition in the USRA Modified division and the Pure Stocks.

CMS is located 3.5-miles north of Warrensburg, MO from the junction of Highways 50 and 13 in Warrensburg just north of the new Hwy 13 by-pass round-a-bout, or from the Higginsville exit off I-70, head south on Highway 13 for twelve and half miles.
