Topeka, KS – For yet another time this season in 2012 the racers of BriggsAuto.Com Speedway have gotten a much needed break. This Saturday night, Sept. 1, 2012 brings all the racing back to action at 7 p.m. for AAA Night at the races.

Racers will need a break from time to time. Some regroup, others continue racing and some decide to do something with their families. No matter what each race team chose to do on their weekend off it’s time to get back to racing this Satruday night for race #19 in the Super Saturday Showdown Series.

An interesting twist from AAA will be awaiting their members that attend the races on Saturday night.

AAA Night at the races offers AAA members a choice; A. 1 Ticket at $4 B. 4 tickets, 4 pop corns, 4 drinks & 4 hot dogs for $29 C. a pit pass for $12! With all of those great offers what is a person suppose to do? Not only will AAA members get to choose what they want, but each time they make a purchase it will qualify them for a chance to win a ride in the BriggsAuto.Com Pace Car.

Five races now remain on the season. Racers and fans, alike, don’t forget the makeup race that has been rescheduled for Sept. 30! The race was just added to the schedule a couple of weeks ago and as this race was added it allows HPT to get all 23 scheduled events for 2012 in.

All 4 weekly divisions will be racing this weekend. The Washburn Tech Modifieds, Super 8 at Forbes Landing Factory Stocks, White Line CDL Training B Mods & Casey’s General Store Pure Stocks will be working hard to provide the fans with all of the excitment and fun they have become accustom to at BriggsAuto.Com Speedway.

Randal Schiffelbein Jr. has taken over the Casey’s General Store Pure Stock division. In his first season behind the wheel of a race, he has pulled down 9 wins and has a firm grip on the points lead. The question for the final 5 races is can Schiffelbein stay focused? Last week he went and purchased a B Mod. It looks like he will be taken his talents to another division in 2013, but will the new car cause him to start thinking about other things. If it does look for drivers like Jesse Shotts, Tyler Garst, Darren Davenport, AJ Christian, Tyler Hinrichs and others look to grab the limelight. In 2012 this division has seen a resurgence in competitors and their are several drivers that would like to pull down a win before the year ends.

The Washburn Tech Modified divsion has seen 10 different winners on the season and with 5 races to go it’s possible that number might get larger. Darron Fuqua, the 2011 points champ, has a stronghold on the top spot for the 2nd straight season, but it hasn’t been the dominating performance that he had a year ago. Kerry Davis rolled to the win two weeks ago, but this season it’s been a who’s who in victory lane not to mention the different faces that have been in the top 10 and top 5. It seems the names are always changing. Tad Davis drove to a 5th place finish two weeks ago and that was his first night at the track. It just shows what kind of competitors are racing at BriggsAuto.Com Speedway.

During the first half of the season, Terry Schmidt was the dominant driver. Going into the last 1/2 of the Super 8 at Forbes Landing Factory Stock class it looks as if Zach Henery has taken the mantle. Yes, Henery doesn’t have 11 wins, but he does have 4 and when he isn’t in the top spot it’s a good chance will find him in the 2nd position. Steve Herrick got back on to the right side of the tracks 2 weeks ago as he won his 2nd feature of the season. This class is starting to open up and the competition level is heating up.

Ethan & Lucas Isaacs are on the top 2 spots in the White Line CDL Training B Mod division. The 2 first year competitors at BriggsAuto.Com Speedway have figured things out in a hurry. Between the 2 brothers, they have 5 wins and too many top 5s and 10s to even count. Ethan was in victory lane the last time out. From top to bottom at the track the B Mod class is one of the toughest classes in the Midwest. Several of the drivers in the division are just as strong as the next driver. More than 28 racers have been coming to race on average and each one of those 28 drivers has an impressive resume. Like the Modifieds, this class has 10 different winners on the season and there will definitely be more before the year is up.

This week’s races will see BriggsAuto.Com Speedway go back to their regular start times. The spectator gates will open at 5 p.m., hot laps start at 6:15 p.m. and the races get started at 7 p.m.

Tickets for the event are; Adults $10, Kids 12 and under $5 and Military with I.D. are always free at Heartland Park Topeka! You can also purchase event tickets online at
