Topeka, KS – It’s been a long 5 months without any racing action at BriggsAuto.Com Speedway and it’s about to change in a hurry. Mother Nature hasn’t been kind to race fans in the Midwest and now fans are more than ready to see great racing action.

Heartland Park Topeka will roar back to life at BriggsAuto.Com Speedway Saturday April 6th for the opening of the 2013 race season. Factory Stocks, Pure Stocks, Modifieds & B Mods will all be in action beginning with the first race receiving the green flag at 7 p.m.

Fans and racers, alike, will enjoy a new change at the speedway in 2013.

super8ssThis season racers will be competing in the Super 8 at Forbes Landing Saturday Showdown Series. Super 8 at Forbes Landing stepped up in the off-season and moved from being a class sponsor to the new title sponsor of the racing action on the track. A total of 22 events are on tap for the 2013 season.

Heartland Park and their staff will continue to strive at providing the best dirt track experience for the fans and racers.

An autograph session will greet the fans heading into the speedway on Saturday night. Jim Christian, Pure Stock racer, and Jared Rogers, Modified racer, will be giving away free autographed race cards on Saturday night, the Kids Zone, which has become a fan favorite, will continue to provide quality entertainment and the HPT concession stand will be complementing their great menu by debuting new food items. Then there is that one exciting thing that everyone loves, the racing!

Last season BriggsAuto.Com Speedway averaged nearly 100 cars per week and the action on the track was second-to-none. When the season ended last year Randal Schiffelbein Jr. (Casey’s General Store Pure Stock), Ethan Isaacs (White Line CDL Training B Mod), Terry Schmidt (Super 8 at Forbes Landing Factory Stock) and Darron Fuqua (Washburn Tech Modified) were all crowned champions in 2012. Look for drivers from the Midwest to invade Heartland Park in hopes of winning a points championship. A championship would give a driver bragging rights, but at BriggsAuto.Com Speedway a championship also means a hefty payday!
