Topeka, KS – The racing action this season has been great at BriggsAuto.Com Speedway. All of the action at the speedway has happened on the track. In 2013 the National Wild Turkey Federation has become a big part of the Super 8 at Forbes Landing Super Saturday Showdown. Saturday night, June 1st, it will be National Wild Turkey Federation Night night at the races.

The National Wild Turkey Federation is a national nonprofit organization and they are the leader in upland wildlife habitat conservation in North America. Collectively, the NWTF come from all walks of life to engage in conservation and preserve the hunting heritage we all hold dear. At BriggsAuto.Com Speedway the NWTF has been a big reason why fans are enjoying not only the racing action on the track but also off the track. This week fans will have a chance to win another firearm thanks to the NWTF. For more information on the NWTF visit them on the world wide web at

Fans will get an extra bonus this week! Adult fans will get an opportunity to celebrate in one of the most popular concession promotions, $1.00 Margaritas! That’s right, $1.00 Margaritas. This promotion was scheduled for earlier in the season, but the race was rained out and HPT decided to bring it back for the fans.

Racing action will be hot and heavy during the Super 8 at Forbes Landing Saturday Showdown this week! Points battles and streaks will continue for race number #6.

Darron Fuqua stayed perfect in the Washburn Tech Modified division after last week. Fuqua has raced in 4 heats, 4 features and has yet to taste defeat. The fast start could put Fuqua’s single season win record (11) in jeopardy. Competitors in the Modified division won’t continue to let Fuqua dominate, drivers will pull out all the stops to knock him off his throne…..

A green, white, checkered finish in the Ferrellgas Stock Car main event saw Leif Weyer take advantage of a slow start to pull off the surprise win. Close racing action at the front of the field made the Stock Car feature a memorable one last week. Terry Schmidt entered last week as the points leader in Stock Cars, but he did not race and it jumbled the points up in the early part of the season. Steve Herrick is now at the front of the line.

Five features have been battled in the Casey’s General Store Pure Stocks. Four of the features have been one by one family, the Garsts. Tyler Garst started out the season with 3 straight wins and last week his father, Scott, gathered up his 1st win of the season. The competition in this division is getting more tight each and every week.

Last year’s points champ in the White Line CDL Training B Mod division, Ethan Isaacs, hasn’t gotten off to a great start. Outside of the top 5, Isaacs was looking for a little boost last Saturday night and he found it in the way of a feature win. The B Mod division has a total of 4 different winners in 5 races. It shows fans that the competition level is higher than it ever has been this season.

Race fans will not want to miss a minute of the exciting action this Saturday night.

Spectator gates will open at 5:00 p.m., hot laps will start at 6:15 p.m. and the first race will go green at 7:00 p.m.

Adult tickets are $12.00, kids 4 through 12 are $6.00 and children 3 and under are free at BriggsAuto.Com Speedway.
