Salina, KS – Fans are getting there fill of Salina Speedway this season! Last week fans got in for free and this Friday night, July 4th, they will be treated to the 4th Annual Topless Challenge! Topless Belleville Motor Sports IMCA Modifieds and M&H Motors IMCA Northern Sports Mods. Fans will get an up close and personal look at all the Modified Aces on Friday night.

Extra money will be on the line in both of the Modified divisions Friday night. The IMCA Modified top driver will take home $1,000 for the feature win and $500 will go to the winner of the IMCA Northern Sport Mod Feature. It doesn’t end there with all the excitment! The BSB Manufacturing NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series Late Models, Coors Light Street Stocks and the AutoHouse Towing Mod Lites will also be on the lineup card this week.

There is even more excitement added to the show as America’s Premier Fireworks Store, Wholesale Fireworks, will be putting on a fireworks display after the completion of the races! Whew that’s a lot of action for fans come Friday night. It’s also the perfect way to celebrate America’s Birthday! What there’s more!!!! What about $1.00 Hot Dogs and $2.00 Beers!!!! The folks at Salina Speedway are going crazy this week!

Last Friday night, Mike Petersilie became the 4th different feature winner at Salina Speedway. The Modified division is a tough one. Friday night when they are shooting it out for $1,000, look for some new faces to be in the mix and also look for the locals to defend their turf. An extra bonus for the winner of the event will be earn a spot on the ballot for the Fast Shafts All-Star Race! National, Regional, State and local track points will also be on the line so this will be a barn burner of an event.

Five different winners have highlighted the IMCA Northern Sport Mod races this season. Nate Ginest won last week and joined Austin Carter as the only other driver to win multiple feature events in 2014. Bragging rights and points are on the line for this one too. Again with extra money on the table, look for some hitters looking to pick up some easy cash. They will find out there they won’t be any cherry picking at this track with drivers like Carter, Ginest, Money, Frye, Gottschalk and a host of others that are capable of winning.

The Rocket Man, Chris Kratzer, was the winner the last time out in the Late Model class. An early season points battle has been brewing since night number 1. Delbert ‘The Iceman’ Smith, last year’s champ, holds on to a slim lead over Kratzer and Daniel Smith. Darrick Klima is still in the hunt as he is only 12 points behind the leader as well.

The Mod Lite division has been dominated by Danny Morrison Jr. this year and the big question in this class is who will knock Morrison off his throne. Justin Kinderknect and the rest of the Mod Lites are going to have to step up there game if they want to get it done. Time will tell.

One of the great races predicted for Friday night is that of the Coors Light Street Stocks. Each week these full bodied cars get after each other with a passion. Some of the most exciting races from this season have come from the Street Stocks. Tony Steenson and Bob Arnold come in tied at the top of point standings, after Friday night there will be someone that is happy and someone that will have to come back the following race and do better.

With all of this action and more guaranteed at Salina Speedway you will have to put this one on your list to see!
