I-35 Speedway LLC Driver’s Meeting

Set For January 19th

Winston, Mo (1-6-08)-The I-35 Speedway LLC driver’s meeting is set for Saturday, January 19th, at 10:30 am. The meeting will be held at the American Legion Building located at 2607 NW State Route 92 in Smithville.

If you plan on racing at I-35 Speedway once or every week you need to be at this meeting. Many things will be discussed. This meeting is for the drivers. So if you have questions or want to voice your opinion, you must be at this meeting.

With the winter chill and snow it has been hard to get started on all the improvements. But measurements have been taken and the list has been made to start on any part of the racing facility as soon as the weather cooperates.

Four new suites will be constructed and the reshaping of the track will be the first things to begin at the facility.

A scoreboard has also been purchased and will be set up over the second corner.

Officials have been hired and final rules will be set very soon. You can check the website at www.i-35speedwayllc.com for general track rules or the Hornet and Grand National Rules. The SportMod, Stock and Modified classes will run under the IMCA sanction and follow their rules.

The season is set to begin April 5th with at least one practice scheduled before then.

Special races and events are currently being discussed for the season. It promises to be an exciting year in 2008 at I-35 Speedway LLC.
