Patch, Covert and Stich (Kings of The Hill)
For the 2nd straight race, Travis Patch stood tall in the Modified ranks. Patch started up front and we stay there for the entire feature.
Jimmy Hernandez would give Patch the most competition, but would run out of laps trying to run the, two time feature winner, down.
Finishing in the top 5 were Jon Kampsen, Jeff Herbers and Darron Fuqua.
The Factory Stock class is shaping up to be a battle between Kyle Covert and Bryan Rigsby.
Both were running at the front of the pack on opening night, before bad luck took them both out of the running.
Tonight was a different story. Covert got to the point from the drop of the flag and Rigsby gave chase.
Lap after lap it appeared that Rigsby was running Covert down, but in his pursuit of the leader, a lapped car took him out of his rythm. The slip allowed Covert to increase his lead and go on for the win.
Dave Samuels had an impressive run and finished in the 3rd, week number 1 winner, Jim Powel Jr., came home 4th and rounding out the top 5 was Leif Weyer.
Tony Noll took the early lead in the Hobby Stock feature event. Would it be enough to hold off the hard charging Brian Stich? At the half way point, it looked like Noll was going to get the job done.
Stich, decided to put it into overdrive after the half-way flag came out. Clearly, Stich was the faster of the two cars. Running up on the back bumper of Noll, Stich made contact with Noll. Noll would get out of shape and Stich would motor by him.
Once in the lead, Stich showed his dominance with yet another Hobby Stock win added to his resume.
Noll finished 2nd, George Brunning held down the 3rd spot, while David Hirsch and Richard Leflet finished out the last 2 spots in the top 5.
